As an approved Registration Agent within the Global LEI System, APIR assist organisations register for new LEIs, renew existing LEIs and transfer existing LEIs to under our management.
You can complete the following request types through the APIR Client Portal -
- LEI registration is the process of obtaining a new LEI - a unique 20-character alphanumeric code used to identify legally distinct entities - for your entity. Click here to find more information on how to register.
- LEI renewal is the annual process of confirming and, if required, updating the reference data linked to your LEI. By completing the renewal, you will keep the LEI active and conforming. Click here to find more information on how to renew.
- LEI transfer is the process of moving your LEI from one LEI issuer (also called a Local Operating Unit or LOU) to another. Click here to find more information on how to Transfer & Renew.
Please note: Only your current LEI issuer can renew your LEI. If you want APIR to renew your LEI, you'll need to transfer it to us first.
